hi,

I am looking for drupal core translation in indian languages.
is there anyone working on it or have used indian languages? do they work properly

please post some reference links/sites.

Hi,

Here is the Gujarati Translation http://drupal.org/project/gu . I have not tried this tough.

Other on going projects for translation are in Bangali , Punjabi and Tamil. You can find the complete list here http://drupal.org/project/l10n_server .
I personally working on Oriya translation. You will soon find that in this list.

Hey u can use Indic scripts. Is supports various languages like Hindi Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada etc.... It ll be useful.

There are few ways u can achieve it.

You need to enable the content translations and enable the translations in the workflow of the particular node type for which translations is needed . and then when you create a page in english the translate link must appear next to edit link and then when u click on some of the enabled languages for the translation . if u using indic _script a pop up will appear which will show all the languages u can type in . so once u save it u will get all the links(kannada,hindi,english) below a page.
